Delivery and Installation
of Ten Transformers and Other Accessories

Advantis Projects completed the customs clearance, special transportation and installation using jacking & skidding method, ten (10) transformers for the Greater Colombo Grid Loss Reduction Project.

The transformers and accessories arrived from South Korea on a heavy lift vessel. The cargo was successfully import customs cleared and stored at the port. The heavy transformers where stooled for later delivery. 

The heavy loads were delivered to the project site using special trailers, and other lighter accessories on conventional trailers.

Two transformers weighing 131 metric Tons each were installed on the foundation using jacking and skidding method. The remaining eight transformers (06 Nos. weighing 77 Tons and 02 Nos. weighing 55 Tons) were installed using heavy lift cranes.
